What is an immediate denture?
An immediate denture is fabricated before your teeth are removed and placed immediately after the extractions, ensuring you never leave the clinic without a complete smile.
Will an immediate denture become loose after surgery?
Yes, as the gums and underlying bone heal and resorb over 3 to 6 months, the denture will naturally become looser. This is expected and easily corrected with soft relines and a subsequent permanent reline.
Do I take the denture out on the first night?
No. You must leave the immediate denture in place for the first 24 hours. Taking it out early may cause swelling that prevents you from putting it back in. Chris checks you at the 24–48 hour mark.
Do I need a dentist referral for an immediate denture?
No referral is needed to see Chris for the denture fabrication. Chris works closely in coordination with your existing dentist or oral surgeon who performs the extractions.
