How long does it take to get used to eating with new dentures?
Most patients adapt within 2 to 4 weeks. Starting with softer foods and chewing evenly on both sides helps condition your jaw muscles and tongue to hold the denture in place. Cut food into smaller pieces at first, avoid very sticky or hard items initially, and be patient with yourself — your mouth is learning a new skill. Chris provides complimentary adjustments during this period so any pressure spots are sorted quickly.
